Rocket Lawyer was ready to make a big move—into beautiful full-floor, light-filled offices on Mission and 2nd Streets in San Francisco. We wanted the space to not only reflect Rocket Lawyer's mission of legal inclusivity, but to give its employees a gorgeous workspace where they could be inspired and energized.

I was brought in to work with the architects to help design the workspace which included everything from palette to furniture to conference room decor. One cool element related to the Rocket Lawyer tradition of asking new employees at their first company meeting about their favorite movie. This flavor was incorporated into the design by pulling in movie quotes—from movies with law themes, of course—on the conference room windows.

A highlight of the project was finding, convincing and commissioning world-renowned artist and muralist Aaron De La Cruz to create a mural for our engineering space. His pieces have adorned offices at Google, Facebook and IDEO and spaces worldwide including hotels, public art, galleries and convention centers. It was thrilling to collaborate with him on this work that brought much life and singularity to our space.
